Best of the 46 pubs in Windsor and the only one in the Good Pub Guide. Traditional pub with log fire, no juke box, no fruit machines and lovely barmaids! Dogs are welcome but children aren't which is a blessing to those wishing to escape them!!!
Best pub in Windsor - BY A MILE!!
I frequently walk for 15 minutes to get to this place rather than go to one of the 30 pubs that are closer. Best food in town by a mile (but make sure you book a table) good beer, fantastic wine list, and I think I'm in love with one of the barmaids...sniff.
The only problem with the Brewers is it's too popular - a victim of its own success
Untouched by commercial nonsense this is a pub as a pub should be. Excellent beer... fabulous wine list...tastey food... great staff and a rather grumpy landlord.... perfect. As the previous review said...loved by locals... of which I am one..... Only hope the said Landlord never finds out my idendity! The Brewers is by far the best pub in Windsor!
A really fantastic pub. Really quirky place with all sorts of random paraphernalia everywhere, from expressions written on the walls, to old photos and newspaper clippings and even a "on this day board" conspiring to really set this place off.
Tried the Guardsman brew from the Windsor and Eton Brewery which was on along with Pride (slightly small selection) which was very good. Really is a tiny place, so I would imagine their cellar is limited (perhaps due to the space afforded to the 7-8 premium lagers they have on).
Very good atmosphere in a tiny historic pub, top notch.
